Executive Summary

The construction and Management of a four (4) unit, four (4) storey high student hostels and an inner court block to be used as shops and offices. The project will be initiated at the University of Ghana, Legon campus. It is intended that the project will be replicated at all the university campuses across Ghana after sucessfully implementing it at the University of Ghana Campus.

Bennet Construction Limited, a company incorporated in Ghana under the Company's code 1963 is the promoter of the project

The product is a modern Students Hostel facility which is intended to serve both local and foreign students and at all levels.

The assessment of the market for a Student Hostel is very high due to the fact that demand for student accomodation far out-strip supply. This has created considerable hardship for students and lecturers alike. This project is intended to help address the problem of accomodation shortage

Bennet Construction Limited will undertake the construction of the Hostel Facility. Bennet Construction Limited has been in the Building and Civil construction industry for well over twenty (20) years and has all the expertise needed to undertake this project. It is also expected that there will be some savings in cost of construction since Bennet is also the promoter. Bennet Construction Limited intends to put together a highly qualified and motivated team to manage the facility independently.

The entire hostel project cost for each campus is $5,244,591, over a construction period of six (6) years
